During my time at Tátil Design in São Paulo, I had the opportunity to work on packaging and visual language projects for Natura, contributing to the evolution of two of its most iconic makeup lines: Faces and Aquarela. Both projects shared a common ambition: to translate Brazilian identity into design, not as a cliché, but as a living, diverse and expressive system.

For Natura Faces Gloss Maxxi Brilho, the design translated exactly what the product delivers: shine, freshness and immediacy. A simple and direct packaging system, supported by vibrant colours and playful naming, created an accessible and expressive product, something you carry with you, use anytime, anywhere.
More than makeup, it was about attitude A brand that speaks openly to a generation that values freedom, individuality and lightness.

For Natura Aquarela Velvet Fuxico, the challenge shifted from expression to cultural storytelling.
Velvet Fuxico draws from traditional Brazilian handmade techniques, “fuxico”, a form of textile craft deeply connected to feminine culture and collective making. This reference informed both colour and texture: soft, layered, tactile.
The design language translated this into velvety finishes, warm tones and delicate compositions, evoking the feeling of touch, care and tradition.
A visual system where makeup becomes a reflection of cultural memory.

Natura Aquarela Miçanga (Beads) takes inspiration from beaded crafts, present across different regions of Brazil, from indigenous cultures to urban expressions.
The design language reflects this through modularity, repetition and colour interplay. Small elements come together to form something bigger a system built from diversity.
It’s about connection: between materials, cultures and people.
A visual translation of how identity in Brazil is built piece by piece, colour by colour.

With Natura Aquarela Balangandã, the inspiration comes from Brazilian ornamental objects, amulets historically worn as symbols of protection, identity and personal history.
The design embraces this richness through vibrant colour combinations and rhythmic compositions, echoing the movement and multiplicity of these objects.
Each product feels like a small collection of elements: expressive, symbolic and full of personality.
A celebration of Brazilian identity through layers, meaning and ornament.

Across all collections, the work for Natura Aquarela was about building a cohesive yet flexible design system rooted in Brazilian culture.
Packaging combined transparency, colour and illustration to create a more emotional and accessible experience, while also integrating more sustainable material choices, including blends of synthetic and organic components.
Each product became a small canvas carrying references to nature, craft, texture and everyday life.
Not just makeup packaging. A design language that reflects the diversity, energy and cultural richness of Brazil.
